Very happy to see my book recommended by @theipaper.com as one of their top January reads

'Thoughtful rather than fan-driven, it adds a fresh take to the canon'

It's in some pretty great company (Julian Barnes! Ali Smith! Others too!)

The point here is not what they will/won't do. The point is to demonstrate for ALL of them that we are against this horrifying action and we will make THEM pay for it (electorally/reputationally) if they go along. That's where action starts.
Call and text your reps NOW - yes, even the republican reps who dont give a shit
Call your reps + please read the thread. Do it now, please.

ok but don't let "actually this is typical US behavior" stop you from yelling at Congresspeople etc.

the line between "stop being ignorant of your own history so you understand the bigger problem" and "it's always like this and it will never change so give up" is not as clear as I'd like it to be

This would kill a great many people like me with serious systemic conditions.

My PCP is the only doctor I see who is treating an entire person.

The ortho is treating my shoulder. The GI Dr is treating my esophagus. Rheumatologist is treating my connective tissue disease. Cardio is my heart.

It's important to remember: trauma distracted you from who you really are. Who you were meant to be, the life you were supposed to have.

We can't get those years back-- but we can, minute by minute, decision by decision, reorient toward our authenticity.

Better now can never.
