And the bill includes other policies that make errors more likely & increase the risk eligible people lose access to the food benefits they need.

It adds huge amounts of red tape for states & families—while slashing federal funding for states to hire staff, update systems, etc.

This is not about efficiency. We had a FNS evaluation contract canceled literally as we were writing the final report. We recouped most of the money, but the government did not get literally what it paid for--the final report. Good thinking there.
