"We are actively working with companies developing large language models (LLMs) to explore options for both their responsible development and usage," OUP told The Bookseller, a U.K.-based outlet covering the publishing industry. "This is not only to improve research outcomes, but to champion the vital role that researchers have in an Al-enabled world." While it didn't offer any more detail, in its annual report the publisher said last month that it has "pursued opportunities relating to artificial intelligence (Al) technologies with careful consideration of its implications for research and education."
