But (at least in the abstract) the better remedy here would be impeachment more than immunity from legal prosecution. He could pull a trifecta and qualify on all three counts: treason, bribery, and high crimes and misdemeanors. No other president has even been so highly qualified in this way.
Yet another example of the idiocy of the Supreme Court’s immunity opinion: If Trump invades Greenland, even for the most insane reason (like not winning the Nobel Peace Prize) and against our obvious national interest, it’s an “official act” that can never be held legally accountable

There are now 23 Republican trifectas, 16 Democratic trifectas, and 11 divided governments.
Our 2026 goal:
To have more D trifectas than R trifectas by December.

I mean, I know @jlazarus.bsky.social is unfortunately right on the substantive outcome given the GOP trifecta. But you'd still like to see even an attempt to grind everything to a halt until the ICE fascism & NATO nonsense stops.
Realistically, a party that's in the minority in both chambers and out of the White House isn't going to do better than this. This is far from a cave. This is Miguel Rojas hitting a home run.
