He’s not even the first one of these schmucks to post about a chatbot wiping part of a hard disk, but he is the first that I’ve seen use a chatbot to accidentally destroy someone else’s data.

I'm doing an adult education course at the moment. AI is rampant, obviously, but I was really shocked to find that more than one person in the class has named their chatbot. When I responded in amazement at this revelation, they were shocked that I was shocked.

the odds that any given "AI chatbot" im talking to is actually remote operated by some guy in indonesia vary between 5-25% for any given industry so i err on the side of not yelling at the robot
