Stephen Miller: This whole period that happened after World War II where the West began apologizing and groveling and begging—

Host: I don't even know what you're talking about right now. I asked you if there would be an election in Venezuela.

Imagine being the person brave enough to leak this in the hopes that media attention could stop it and then the media just……buries it.
NEW: Plans for secret U.S. raid to capture Maduro leaked to the Washington Post and New York Times before it happened, but both decided not to publish to protect U.S. troops - Semafor

Stop saying that all Schumer and Jeffries ever do is write strongly worded letters. Bullshit. They're not strongly worded at all.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella says people should move beyond calling AI 'slop'

"We need to get beyond the arguments of slop vs sophistication and develop a new equilibrium ... that accounts for humans being equipped with these new cognitive amplifier tools as we relate to each other"

Why did that show make Ed Gein sound like Emo Philips though

Like they said they were doing a different voice but once they heard a recording of them they changed it to what it was

But what they changed it to is Emo Philips and he sounds nothing like that?????

Healthcare workers should be prohibited from reporting suspected abortions—but they're not. @pregnancyjust.bsky.social found that, among 412 pregnancy criminalization cases after the fall of Roe, 264 involved information disclosed in a medical setting

A fucking primary care clinic called the cops on this woman. Self-managed abortion is not a crime:

"...reported to police Wednesday, Dec. 31, after she told workers at United Clinic in Campton she had aborted her pregnancy at her home, according to a Jan. 1 news release from [state police]."
Kentucky woman charged with fetal homicide after taking abortion medication
Kentucky State Police said the woman ordered abortion medication online and buried the “developed male infant” on her property.

Last night I learned there are both efforts to redigitize some episodes of the Computer Chronicles that needed it, and a big metadata search being built so you can find specific things of interest in episodes, which is extremely exciting

It's hard for me to pick a favorite Computer Chronicles episode, but my favorite genre of Computer Chronicles episode is any topic where the tech wasn't even close to ready. VR, video conferencing, anything where the demos are gonna be a guy sweating because he knows this shit don't work
