I get that the news cycle is packed right now, but I just heard from a colleague at the Smithsonian that this is fully a GIANT SQUID BEING EATEN BY A SPERM WHALE and it’s possibly the first ever confirmed video according to a friend at NOAA

Century of humiliation
The Trump administration has not sent any Coast Guard admirals up for Senate confirmation because Kristi Noem lives in a home usually reserved for the top admiral of the Coast Guard and she "she doesn’t want to get kicked out of the commandant’s house."

I think what editorial people in the media need to understand is that it’s a lot more subversive nowadays to say people need to take care of one another than it is to say that everyone should be a dickhead

When a cabinet member announces "We are using the military to liberate an American city from its elected leaders," where do you go from there. What is left to say. The idea of that being anything short of a near-universal "Wait, what the fuck is going on" moment proves how far we've backslid.

BREAKING: A few minutes ago, a vehicle of three people was rammed by a truck belonging to federal immigration authorities in Boyle Heights, CA. According to security footage shown to me, they deployed chemical munitions & detained the driver at gunpoint. All are US citizens according to the wife.

Legit the best thing any Dem has done to date in response to Trump and it happened because he cared more about serving his constituents than public polling about immigration.
I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

Trump is raising taxes on working people in order to lower the top tax rates on high income earners. His own economic advisors admit it, openly. Will the media tell voters this fact or will they steelman a more appealing, imaginary rationale.

Many Dem consultants urge adopting bad GOP positions.
Better to adopt proven GOP tactics. Republicans made issues out of nothing through repetition and outrage.
A national security breach implying many more (Signal? Not DoD comms?) must be made into an issue by Dems. It won't just become one.

The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

everyone should listen to this in its entirety but journalists should listen to it multiple times. this is how you ask questions. you just keep asking simple, easily answerable stuff and the evasiveness becomes that much more glaring

“We obstruct everything until Elon Musk is gone” is a clear message about an unpopular figure who is doing unpopular things
The Democrats keep helplessly dithering about a message and strategy even as Donald Trump has vested his entire project of wrecking the country in one greedy pervert with no legal authority who has spent a decade-plus making himself into the vile and repulsive caricature of a supervillain

I still don’t understand why Democrats would negotiate a budget when the Trump administration claims unilateral authority to cancel any spending it dislikes. As long as congressional Republicans endorse that position, they are not legitimate negotiation partners! An agreement with them has no value!
