A brave decision from one of my political heros, who made me believe that a better political future is possible and that I, a fellow queer, neurodivergent, Asian American, could have a voice in shaping it. All love to Yuh-Line Niou.
This is a gut-wrenching and bittersweet decision for me. As a disabled queer Asian American woman, my stepping aside likely means we won’t see this intersectional representation in this seat for a long time. That hurts.

I love your first born.
I was such a big Yuh-Line Niou supporter that I literally donated my first-born to her NY-10 campaign.
No, really.
Sammmmmm!!! You are amazing. Thank YOU for canvassing and being part of my team. Love you!

This means a lot to me from my neighbors!
You have always been an incredible advocate for our district for which we thank you and this is just another sign of you putting community first - I hope to get another chance to vote for you somewhere down the line and I know I'm not alone!

Thank you for your support and your vote. ❤️ all of the support means so much.
Thank you so much for this clear explanation and for being selfless. I voted for you the last time you ran and hope to vote for you again in the future!

❤️❤️❤️ our community. Operative word our.
Appreciate you putting our community ahead of yourself, as much as I would love to see you in that seat ❤️

Three years ago, our rising progressive movement came within 1.6% of victory in NY-10. We built a powerful grassroots movement that energized thousands of voters who were hungry for real progressive change on housing, healthcare, climate justice, and economic equality.

Thank you, bestie bright.
Utter lack of ego. Painfully unshaken commitment to building movement, organization, and governing power for the Left.

This is the selfless lesson I take from @yuhline.bsky.social.

May her words be one that all of us on the Left understand, appreciate, and, whenever necessary, be ready to emulate.
The choice for us has always been clear: consolidate and win, or fracture and lose. I choose winning for all of us. I love you and I am grateful and I will always continue to champion our communities.

Thank you. Grateful for you. And for all your support these many years.
The responsible decision, but I still wish Niou was my rep.

Thank you. Means so much to me. Was amazing to meet! Thank you for introducing us!
You are such an ethical person. (And very kind to my autistic genderqueer kid when you met them.) I look forward to getting to vote for you again … soon, I hope.

Thread, up and down
To the progressive movement: let this be a model. Consolidation isn’t about any one person because our movement is not about any one person—it’s about the communities we serve and the future we’re fighting to build together.

Thank you, friends. Appreciate the love and support. We fight.
Yuh-Line Niou’s 2022 congressional campaign made us all dream bigger. When Dan Goldman leaned on AIPAC attacks and big money, she held firm and led a powerful grassroots campaign that emphasized community and progressive change. She is an invaluable member of our coalition. Thank you, Yuh-Line.

Thank you, dear friend. I really appreciate your constant support and it means everything.
Big fan of Yuh-Line Niou here, and was really excited for her candidacy in 2026. I totally get why she is stepping aside, and her reasons make a ton of sense. Yet another example of her movement leadership.

I have so much respect for you and this just underlines it. You are a real movement leader and stepping aside shows that. Looking forward to whatever your next move looks like.

We need more selfless candidates that put their issues before their candidacy. I'm sad to hear you're leaving the race but I applaud you for working towards a better future for your constituents.
That’s why today, I am making the difficult decision to step aside so we on the left can consolidate behind a unified progressive candidacy.

One of the recent progressive trailblazers, @yuhline.bsky.social was Mamdani before there was a Mamdani. She walked so he could fly.

Politics is hard. It's a shame that she's stepping aside, but she's doing it to ensure that her issues & values are on the ballot, even if her name isn't.

Appreciative of your support and your friendship. You’re always my vote. I will choose you and our neighbors every time. ❤️
Thanks. I told you at the Hands Off Trish action that you had my vote, but I want to thank you for being a team player.
With @bradlander.bsky.social running to be my rep in NY-10, we need to coalesce around the progressive candidates to take on @AIPAC funded establishment dems.
