When someone with Andrew Cuomo’s platform uses their power to feed hate and spread suspicion instead of solidarity, it puts lives at risk. The strength of this city has always come from people standing together and refusing to let hate divide us – and we’re calling this what it is, Islamophobia.

I just want to point out again that last night Cuomo effectively said that any NYC family that can do so should move to the suburbs for the schools like he did, I think that might be slightly more important and relevant than his neither innovative nor particularly comprehensive education platform
“There have been constant questions aimed at Mamdani that they haven’t really answered in terms of what an education policy agenda would look like,” one observer said. “Cuomo potentially sees blood.”
Mamdani lacks a clear agenda for NYC schools. Cuomo wants to capitalize on that.
