Strange takes on Mayor Zamdani swearing his oath on the Qu’ran. It has nothing to do with church & state. The point of the oath is for the person swearing in to do so upon some text that is sacred TO THEM. Some Presidents swore in w/o any book. John Quincy Adams was sworn on a law book. His choice.

First day of a new era for tenants! Mayor Mamdani announces that he’s objecting to the auction of 93 Pinnacle properties, and he’s appointing Cea Weaver to direct the Mayor’s Office of Tenant Protection. I don’t know anyone who will fight harder for tenants! Watch out Pinnacle and other slumlords!

I don’t think sports fans in the US use the words “insipid” and “dire” enough when describing their teams performance. My friends across the pond have a much more extensive vocabulary when commenting on a game/match. This came into my mind for some reason about 30 minutes ago.
