My election night ritual for my entire adult life is to take two Benadryl and go to sleep at 8:00 PM and I have never regretted that choice.
listen I know nothing about basically anything, but one of the few pieces of categorically iron-clad advice I can offer from my own terrible past choices is: do not do this, do not under any circumstances do this, do not throw an election night party, please just trust me

Short thread on why any amount of deflation is ruinous to an economy, and why 1% deflation is massively worse than 4% inflation. Let's start with the supply side. Every company invests money towards future revenue. With deflation, that future revenue is worth less, so investment is disincentivized.
is deflation <1% worse than inflation >4% though? I understand that deflation can lead to a feedback loop, but I forget the exact loop and don't understand why it would be terrible even at low levels
