Every reputable expert I know considers mRNA vaccine technology to be one of the most revolutionary advances in medicine in our lifetimes. Its inventors won the Nobel Prize in 2023. Shutting it down now is pointless self-harm to humanity.

•Section 9 forbids suspending The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus
•Section 10 forbids ex post facto laws

the 2017 #resistance had problems obviously, namely being co-opted by neocons and grifters, but at least there was some type of Dem-led opposition. Now, all the anger is disjointed and bottom-up and Corporate America/party leadership is rolling out the red carpet for total GOP hegemony. Not great!

If I had to capture the essence of “rightwing populism” I think I would cite the time in 1774 Virginia slaveowner Richard Henry Lee wanted to protest new taxes levied by the British so he forced his slaves to protest the tax hike on his behalf with banners denouncing the taxes as "chains of slavery"
