as I said before, everyone keeps dancing around the fact that this is open nativist blood libel. This is how you legitimize mass dispossession, en masse, of an entire sub-population of a nation. And this is now an institutionalized belief in ostensibly the most powerful org in international finance.
Fed Governor Stephen Miran: "Cutting down net migration to 0, potentially even negative because of the deportations that have been occurring, I think is very deflationary."

One of the things I worry most about is the Trump administration actually believes the things they say on TV.
The other way to read this is that the leaks are actually deliberate shots across the bow from Ghislaine Maxwell, who would likely have considerable sway over what gets released by the estate itself.
Raskin: "The DOJ hasn't released any of these emails that mention Trump's name & identify his role in all these activities. Those came from the Epstein estate. So this is a demonstration the govt is deliberately withholding the info everybody is actually looking for & could be damaging to Trump"

Keep in mind that Pete Sessions enthusiastically introduced impeachment proceedings against Joe Biden over imaginary crimes that he could never quite articulate.
CNN: Do you still have a question about whether Donald Trump knew about the sexual abuse at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein?

"Scared of Charlotte" is a whole new level of "scared of cities" that I'd never even considered possible
Tim Kaine on backlash he's getting: "I got the first good night's sleep last night that I've gotten since Oct 1, b/c I wasn't worried about being able to look Capitol Police in the eye when I walked in, or what a furloughed fed worker would say to me at church, or what somebody would say about SNAP"

Well I'm glad the guy with free healthcare feels good about himself
Under Schumer's leadership, eight Democrats (Cortez Masto, Durbin, Fetterman, Hassan, Kaine, King, Rosen, & Shaheen) joined the Republicans in moving forward a bill to reopen the government without ACA subsidies—Dems' stated key aim—or any other real concessions from the status before the shutdown.

The question that remains is whether these Dems independently decided to capitulate or if party leadership designated them as patsies.
