Hepatitis B infection in infancy (almost half of all HepB is caught in childhood) is associated with a 90% chance of becoming a chronic infection (ie the body can never clear the virus), and is highly likely to progress to liver failure and liver cancer.

Vaccinating at birth has reduced this by 99%
💬Viewpoint: Eliminating universal hepatitis B birth dose vaccination risks an estimated 8% increase in annual perinatal #HepatitisB infections in the US, increasing preventable chronic disease burden. ja.ma/3Me0zHh

THEY PEPPER SPRAYED A BABY

Please read this entire excellent piece by Caroline, which points out that a judge ordered the Feds (again) to stop doing **this exact kind of thing** and they are still continuing to do it all over Chicago
Arianna Sofia Veraza and her parents were driving to Sam's Club for milk, eggs and diapers yesterday when they heard helicopters and horns blaring yesterday. They had turned around to leave when a federal agent pepper-sprayed them through a car window.

FACT CHECK: Walmart's Thanksgiving meal is cheaper because it has 6 fewer items, no fresh products, & a greater percentage of the "Great Value" brand compared to last year.

Just another attempt by Trump to lie to the American people about how he's "Making America Great."
Trump: "I just saw that Walmart came out last night that Thanksgiving this year will cost 25% less than last year ... that's emblematic of the rest of prices." (They shrunk the turkey and made the meal smaller.)

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.
