Trump is their Franco; wrecking the economy, selling out his people to foreign fascists, a stumbling demented manchild supported by the rich and the theist fanatics and the ignorant.
Young Republicans are looking for Trump to “be their Franco” but don’t you dare call them fascists.

No one hates capitalism more than those people. They always whine and whine about it, but they're addicted to the idea that it's nothing like what it is: the maximum extraction of money out of their pockets into the vaults of wealthy overlords.
Brooke Rollins: "This weekend you signed an executive order on looking into the reason that so much of these costs have been driven up over and over. Equipment, fertilizer, seed, etc. Why have to understand why that is."

Elon Musk shares the Russian govt’s goals in Europe, and uses his platform to advance them, with Musk’s motive anti-democracy white nationalism.

The current US govt shares Russia’s goals in Europe, and published a National Security Strategy explaining the reason is anti-democracy white nationalism.
This is so perfect. No one have any doubts at this point about what Elon Musk really represents.

All of human history is a testament to the fact that none of this is exclusive to modern tech bros. They just happen to now be the richest people around.

People have to stop making the mistake that "if we could only stop this group of awful people things would be fine".

No, this is in all of us.

The fact that a second strike like that in an armed conflict is definitely a war crime should not completely negate the fact that *there is no war* and ALL the strikes are cold-blooded murder. The whole chain of command are murderers.

There is no evidence linking COVID-19 vaccines to deaths in children. There is evidence that COVID causes serious harm — including long COVID, MIS-C, cardiac complications & diabetes.

This administration’s actions are dangerous, and the damage to the public and children may be irreversible

As is true in about 99% of cases where AI is dunked on, it's people who are wrong here, not the AI.

The AI is just a tool, it just does what it's told. It's people that suck.

Humans have been perfecting enshittification and soul-sucking nonsense for thousands of generations. We are masters at it.

Institutional cowardice and failure, as subservient to power as in aristocratic systems, is one of the biggest story of our time and almost never talked about with proper scope and urgency.

Institutions don't serve the public, the people. They serve themselves and work for the rich.
In case you missed this, the BBC edited a historian's speech about Trump to remove the claim that he's "the most openly corrupt president in US history." This came after Trump had threatened a $1 billion lawsuit.

Elite capitulation continues.

Read all about it here:

Trump Angrily Threatened to Sue BBC. Then Things Took a Darker Turn.
First, British Broadcasting Corporation execs resigned after Trump complained about a segment. Now the BBC edited out a line from a historian that was critical of Trump. Where does this end?

Once you notice that the way we say things matters far more than its substance, you can't stop seeing it everywhere.

It's probably more important in a clinical consult than anywhere else, because of the consequences, but if it's true there, and it 100% is, then it's true everywhere.
Found my doctors appointments got less frustrating once I started going in like “I really want to play badminton again 😢 but I can’t even push a cart around the grocery store 😢 and I’ve hit a wall where no matter what I do I can’t seem to increase my exercise capacity 😢 and it makes it hard to work”
The rationale behind these studies, Seltzer contests, is [that] “it presumes that the patient had never heard of exercise until a doctor told them [it] exists.”

Thanks to Simon Spichak for putting this idea into print. I've said multiple times in interviews that it's the strangest part... 🧵

As if this hasn't been everywhere for all of history.

Humans bullshit all the time. Bullshit works. It's everywhere. Literally nothing escapes it. Every part of the human experience is sullied by mountains of human bullshit.

As if we can solve AI bullshit without solving human bullshit.

The “piggy” comment is really disturbing.

Yes it is bullying and just mean and disrespectful.

But it’s probably also indicative of a continuing loss of inhibitory control. And that’s a sign of cognitive decline.
I don't know why the "Piggy" thing is bothering me so much. It's one more unforgivable thing in a list of 20,000 unforgivable things, but I've been mad about it for like 12 straight hours.

“Piggy” is particularly egregious but he tells reporters to shut up all the time. He insults them personally and asks where they work before telling them they’re bad people.

The only way to know this is by watching the unedited videos because it’s so routine that it’s not considered newsworthy.
Reporters shouldn’t have to take that shit just because he’s president.
