Well, now, look what arrived in the post...
Delighted to share that my new book on psychology and the culture wars has now been published.
Writing it was a long, at times depressing, but ultimately satisfying journey for me. I hope you like it

These threats are grim, disgusting and unacceptable.
They’re really common among anti-trans obsessives.
Which is why they were banned so often from social networks. It wasn’t censorship, it was standards.
Removing those rules has only emboldened hate:

Pronouns are words. There is nothing "biological" about them. Some languages have gendered personal pronouns, some don't. Some languages have gendered nouns for every inanimate object. Some languages have no gendered pronouns. Some have no personal pronouns *at all!*

1) Interesting interview of Prof. Brian Hughes by David Tuller.
In his new book Hughes argues that psychology is not woke but that its methods are essentially conservative because it focuses on an individualistic view and ignores social context.

My verdict on the 'woke' review of England's school curriculum? It isn't radical enough | Simon Jenkins
When I heard it was dumbing down education, my heart sank. In fact, it’s outspoken about the chaos of Michael Gove’s reforms and the changes needed, says Guardian columnist Simon Jenkins

If there were people around the country committing violence against Catholic priests and attempting to burn them to death in their beds, would Simon Harris and the rest of our politicians, the very next day, take to the media to demand a debate on whether there were too many priests in Ireland?

Many leftist movements exclude and marginalise disabled people within rhetoric and theory, focusing nearly only on “working people”, “working class”
They may critique commodity fetishism, but can end up with a sort of labour fetishism…
