I’ve had trans friends for many years and my own journey with gender has led me to land somewhere on the nonbinary spectrum. If you want to enforce rigid gender norms on yourself that’s fine, but leave the rest of us (and especially kids) out of it! We all deserve bodily autonomy, every one of us.

Tbh so much of the shoujo manga that made it over here when I was growing up had strong currents of “what even is gender, really?” between panels made of doily patterns and sparkles.

This is something a lot of lefty "follow the money" folks don't fully understand. Yes, the billionaires buying out our media want to use it as a bargaining chip with Trump, but they also genuinely want influence. They want to be loved and admired by the literati and glitterati.

Politics are determined by voters, who get information from lots of places. Usually it’s not directly from the campaigns. Everything they hear, from both campaigns and elsewhere, is filtered through the media they consume.
