Furries also
Lot of ppl out there that can’t handle the fact that being trans is entirely orthogonal to one’s values and basic beliefs

A lot of media these days has what I call the "dragon problem". It's actually fairly unusual to just see art of a normal dragon, everybody's too convinced that they have to show their take on a dragon that it's much easier to find a dragon somebody was doing a "take" on than just, like, a dragon.

I'm convinced people don't remember when a lot of these people were Ron Paul fans and only felt they had to come over to the Dems because they were trans and badly want to go back, which at this point is Trump because Trump filled the Ron Paul hole in these empty lives.
Sometimes I’m convinced people want Dems to actually be anti trans so they can point and say they were right versus substantive laws/policies

People always act like the United States being a fading power would be a good thing, but it seems like when we stop doing things like medical development and foreign aid, that nobody else seems to be able to step in and do it instead.

If you've noticed that I haven't talked about the interview at the vampire show in a long time, it's because as soon as season two hit, they started adapting the fandom instead of the books and now it is terrible. many such cases.

It's like a guy making a joke about having sex with you.
I kinda wonder, given everything else we know about Hasan, if his "shoot you in the head" comment is projection on his part.
Oh boy, did Hasan just fly into an anti-Democrat rage after being criticized by two trans people? You'd think he'd be more mature than this, but...

I guess he decided to write something dumber than his article about how knives are fun and you can cook with them

The problem with these super rich people is they're stupid assholes.

I do think that the fact that the stars of the online “left” are all definitionally self-employed small-business owners is underdiscussed

Having the same class interest as a realtor and hating Democrats is a less interesting combination than many think!
I think "Hasan doesn't want his taxes raised" is an underrated explanation for his behavior
hasan, who is not trans or queer, saying that Dems would shoot every trans person in the head to win elections, is just straight up ratfucking, indefensible

So do they let trump go to bohemian grove or is he toooooo gay

People who don't get into the rurals don't get how mad these people are. They feel left behind but also they choose every day not to, you know, leave.
They hate big cities but they aren’t fond of medium cities or even small but urban towns. The local clashes between city & county governments demonstrate this well

If race is not genetic then it's either cultural or geographic, right? But we definitely don't define it as geographic, and clearly it's not really cultural or many of our usages don't make sense. I don't think it's indicative of any specific traits but if it's not genetic what is it? -

The thing is, they just want minorities "gone", but they don't quite want women to be gone. Their ideal world has women around so they have to think of how to subjugate them.
violence against women and misogyny are the glue that holds the conservatives and the fascists together
The Trump administration is incarcerating migrant girls in, essentially, a forced pregnancy camp.

At present you have spectacularly failed to satisfy that condition, and thus you could accuse me of every form of prejudice known to man (and indeed, you often do!) and I simply will not care or take it seriously.

What you guys need to understand is that if you want me to take your accusations of racism/misogyny/transphobia/etc. seriously, you first need to satisfy the gateway criterion of not acting like malicious freaks who are incredibly thrilled to make those accusations. Then we can talk like adults

I'm too old for "sporking" this sort of work and it's better for people to read... something than nothing, which is what most people read, but you have to let me have this one: lmao

(Thinks) I should eat the sea testicle of my homeland
it’s kinda funny how some think tanks are like “we should introduce sensible, economically sound policies to win over swing voters” while the politicians who actually win over swing voters are like, the dumbest people on earth

Every fucking web community I've ever been in, man. And it's often in the same people. Not just the same kind of person, like literally the same people, the same individuals.
the lack of moderation on this site is literally going to kill it

may the Canadians do to you what the french did to haiti
These are not smart people.

1) Independence makes you *more* dependent on federal policy, since they get to decide whether or not you can access TMX. Forget about ever building another pipeline west.

2) You need the goods (food, etc.) that cross "our land". Blocking their passage is self-injury.

california sucks ass tbh
Such an asinine potential ballot initiative exempting 60+ from property taxes and no income limit, sponsored by Rishi Kumar, a former local Democratic elected.

"Kumar, declined to reveal his age and would only say he worked for an artificial intelligence company in Silicon Valley."
CA seniors could choose to opt out of property taxes under proposed initiative
“This has been brewing in our heads for the last two or three years,” said the person behind the measure.
