Trump Renames RFK Jr. “Bobby Trump Kennedy”

I’m sure China won’t use any of its TikTok backdoor tech to seek revenge against Trump for Taiwan.
Trump delivers TikTok to Larry Ellison, and the Trump-Kushner family will have a significant taste in the upside. Classic Middle Eastern style corruption.

President John F. Kennedy didn’t name the Kennedy Center for himself.

Eisenhower signed legislation to create a “National Cultural Center.” Eisenhower and Kennedy fundraised for it.

Congress and Johnson only named it in honor of Kennedy after he was assassinated.

Sorkin: This is now state-sponsored capitalism. This is not really capitalism. Everything runs through 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue now. That is a fundamental reshift, and that is something that’s more akin to places like China, frankly.

If I were the Kennedy family, I would remove the family name from every mention possible - as heartbreaking as that would be.

Here's an Oval Office press conference challenge:

"Mr. President, do you agree that one of the reasons Obamacare is terrible health care is its flawed design that lacks a mandate that applies to ALL Americans, and will your plan apply to all Americans?"
REMINDER TO PEOPLE WHO CALL THEMSELVES JOURNALISTS:

The Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) was amended by the GOP under Trump 45. Eliminating the individual mandate was like drilling a hole in your car’s gas tank. They own this.

Omitting this fact when reporting/interviewing is malpractice, IMO.

I doubt many will watch on the YouTube platform. I mean, of all the “live tv” streaming services, I like YouTube TV the best, but wow…end of an era.

Vought operates out of a basement office, out of sight, and is working tirelessly to dismantle as much as he can in the time he has. I suspect he’s ramped up his efforts considering the current political climate. I can’t imagine Boulder - or the planet in general - without NCAR. 💔

🧵
NSF is about to dismantle NCAR at Russell Vought's direction to protect the fossil fuel industry. It's hard to communicate just how much NCAR does, so let's take a look: I've never worked at NCAR, and I've worked with NCAR researchers once ever. What scientific discoveries has NCAR made possible? 👇

I keep saying this but no one is connecting the dots. The war is to satisfy legal preconditions for mass removal *domestically* of Latinos (i.e., suddenly a lot of people are going to be “Venezuelan” for purposes of removal). This is 100% Stephen Miller…oil claim is to make grandpa go along
There is no national security logic that would impel the US to want to do regime change in Venezuela. It's simply not that important. I'm not even sure wag the dog is the right metaphor for what's happening here. Seems like an insane misallocation of US national security assets and attention.
Trump: "Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled ... It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the USA all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us."

Carl Reiner's last acting role was in the quarantine-era THE PRINCESS BRIDE home edition, done as a fundraiser for @wck.org

Carl played the grandfather in the final scene, opposite Rob Reiner as the grandson😢

We’re running out of good ideas. AI might be how we find new ones.
What if the best use of AI is restarting the world’s idea machine?

Rob Reiner: I'm going to make a coming of age drama, a fantasy adventure story, a romantic comedy, a psychological horror and then a courtroom drama.

Us: Across your entire career?

Reiner: In a 6 year period.

Us: That sounds-

Reiner: -Each one will be arguably the best movie in that genre.

Good story to wake up to and to remember in the days ahead.
When Rob Reiner was on his all-time epic run at the start of his career, he had an opportunity to read a script that was looking for a production partner, and he lost his mind for it. He decided Castle Rock had to have it, no matter what.

The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.

All from his movies.

Statement from the Lear Family on the death of Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner.

Rob Reiner described Norman Lear as his second father.

One of the things Rob Reiner did better than anyone was direct difficult adaptations. He was able to capture elusive nuances and translate them to the screen in a wholly believable way. He identified the essence of characters and drew performances out of the actors that felt raw and real. 💔
