I'm absolutely gutted about the election result. Not for me but for the thousands of people whose lives are going to be far worse.
Let's hope this is a wake up call to the left and they start to think big, aspirational, transformational. For the sake of the kids, we desperately need them to.

Even the ram raids stuff, which could have been an opportunity to show an overwhelming effort in the face of a topical issue, was met with a kind of bland centrism that was largely worried about the sheer cost of doing things instead of the cost of not doing anything. =(

These votes started getting counted this morning so naturally they will dominate the early votes, left block late swing will not be showing up yet. Lots of enrollment on election day will show up in specials.
