And, again, I think of the opportunity cost of not doing this. The stories, visions, insights, that we miss because only the wealthy can comfortably create.
I'm not a creative. But I can see how this would benefit me by making the world more colourful.

I regularly see people wondering how it's possible that there are so many musicians and writers and film makers and artists from a tiny nation like Iceland.
And the answer is really simple: State funding for art education and artists. I literally get a salary from the government to write books.

I’m constantly astounded at the sheer level of artistic production coming out of Iceland. Novels, movies, music. Amazing.

Everyone seems to be talking about AI right now, its a massive overhype, a big problem is that it is an opportunity for people to fuckup in spectacular ways by doing things they dont understand, but are told by the machine is ok. The risks some people are taking with agents is insane.

Finland has a similar population, similar landmass, similar situation with population density (majority of population in one part of the country) to us and yet it has an amazing interconnected public transport system and we dont.
It is very possible to do if you want to.

You can book a travel plan from my remote rural town in the Northeast to an address in the capital Helsinki in a single app for cheap and the trains and buses are fully electric, using very low-carbon grid power. Just sayin’ #Future is already here.

CCTV footage appears to show DHS agents posing as people having car trouble in order to lure a target out of his house before arresting them. The target comes out and starts helping them before 3 vehicles surround the scene. The car "experiencing" trouble then drives off with them.
