It's a shame that Mark Wahlberg never got a French peerage, because he'd make a great Marquis Mark.

Here is an email that Elon Musk, current world’s richest man and owner of a social media network that generated child sexual abuse material on demand, sent to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on November 11, 2012: “What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?”

Sticks and stones are fully deserved for people using words. Evidently.
Homan: "I begged for the last two months on TV for the rhetoric to stop. I said in March -- if the rhetoric doesn't stop, there is gonna be bloodshed. And there has been. I wish I wasn't right. I don't want to see anybody die."

He, and those like him, actively hate progress.
Trump: "I don't want to drive housing prices down. I want to drive housing prices up for people who own homes."

Surely you would buy the tickets and not make anyone watch it? They might want to talk about it afterwards!
And they say protesters are paid…

Don Qui-trumpy still hasn't learned to distinguish between windmills and wind turbines, because, *spoiler*, he doesn't actually care about anything except himself, money, and his residual bitterness about being rightly excluded from intellectual and social elites.
Trump: "Coal doesn't mind very cold weather, right? You're not allowed to say the word 'coal' with preceding by saying 'clean, beautiful coal.' It's not affected by bad weather. The windmills are are frozen. You know that, right? They don't turn. The windmills aren't turning."

Sure, ok, I suppose, but it would maybe show more integrity to leave Xitter over the abuse and harassment that everyone faces. Along with the everything else.

A reminder that, similar to journalists, you cannot trust people to be objective when they were on the losing side of a revolution. Not judging the merits of otherwise of the change.
And codifying a response to a foreign government is patently ludicrous.
SCHATZ: Will you make a public commitment today to rule out US regime change in Cuba?

RUBIO: Oh, no. We would love to see the regime there change

Hindsight and all, I really enjoyed Red Dead Redemption 2. The story, of course, was marvellous, as was the gameplay.

But getting good enough to wipe out communities of Murfrees, Lemoyners, and damn near anyone from Rhodes, was therapeutic and cathartic. And descriptive of where these came from.
the southern aristocracy was built on pedophiliac rape and that was the thing that more than anything else converted Northerners who encountered it from begrudging soldiers to crusaders.

For any elected official who needs to hear this, I impart a lesson learned from the NFL:

When the other team is tired and on the back foot, you don’t call a timeout so they can catch their breath. You grind their fucking face into the dirt until the final whistle blows and you’ve won the game.

If someone changed their mind because of new evidence, then that's great.

If they changed their mind because their wrong opinion is no longer popular?
If they show no repentance or walkback for harmful views?
If they formed their earlier opinion by ignoring and denying reality?

Not so much.
Bluesky idea: if people who didn't agree with you change their opinions so that they do agree with you, why not be happy that you are making progress - rather than complaining that they are "only just catching up"?
