Shout out today to St. Paul institution George’s Shoes & Repair. I walked in with a broken biking shoe, hoping to avoid buying a new pair. I walked out 5 minutes later with a fixed shoe, no charge, ready to get back on the road. They are a local treasure and take mail order repair requests.

another spontaneous Thursday call from Aaron Did this last week, let's do it again! Open to any genre, any length, any anything. Only send one piece. Open to any/all genre! Would love to see a comic! I love stuff that you aren't even sure what genre it is. (I'm open for "any" length, but will confess: anything over 1,000 words or so is fighting an uphill battle. And, tbh, sub 500 is probably raises your chances even more.) If you're reading this, you probably have a pretty good idea of what I/HAD like, but some stuff that jumps to my mind: long single sentence pieces, single paragraph blocks of texts (prose poems, I guess you could just say), longass lists, crazy long titles (used to be more common on HAD, we've gotten away from them a bit, would be fun to see some more again), funny stuff that makes me laugh, stuff that makes me laugh and then punches me in my emotions, sexy stuff that makes me blush, stuff that makes me go "huh??", stuff I'm not sure I "get" but that gets inside my brain... Open for 60 submissions. You know the deal. I am going to try to respond as fast as possible. Going to try to respond to as many as possible tonight, but will likely fall asleep before getting to them all and will finish tomorrow...

Have you absolutely no conscience? No decency? I pray to God that none of you ever go through anything like this. I pray that Senator Lee and your office begin to see the people you work with in this building as colleagues and human beings.
