Laying people off to "improve the service that millions of customers rely on every day" is as ridiculous as it sounds!

Used to drop a lotta $$ on impulse purchases. But since they locked everything behind plexiglass, haven't stepped foot in there for months and not going back. Moved my scripts too

I think it's important for the "all government people are corrupt crowd" to really hear this. No. No, they're not.

This is why I'm excited to see some of the laid-off federal employees start to run for office. Americans need to hear from those who've actually done the work of governing.

🚨Every single Republican on the House Education Policy Committee voted against legislation that would prevent ICE agents from storming into public schools without a warrant.

Minnesota Republicans would rather stand with Donald Trump than with our state’s students, teachers, and families.

I try not to be this person too much, but watching the House committee deadlock on multiple good bills today I cannot tell you how frustrating it is when I hear folks dismiss elections.

A few hundred votes in 2-3 districts may be what decided whether Minnesotans get state rent and eviction relief.

MnDOT is focused on moving vast numbers of cars and trucks as fast as possible on I-94 inside city neighborhoods. Can you imagine? They have an opportunity to repent and to repair all their earlier sins. Instead they're just doubling down with cement and fumes. I am enraged.

Having this public comment period during the federal siege of the Twin Cities is ridiculous. It started the day after Renee Good was killed. It must be extended to allow more time.

Ho-lee Shit. This is phenomenally good news. Department of Education rolls back— for now— its attempts to destroy Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility initiatives. Keep an eye on them, of course, and watch for the hidden knife, always, but for now: Fantastic news.
BREAKING: The Department of Education has ended its directive that attempted to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in schools nationwide.

This is a victory for academic freedom and education equity.

I regularly see people wondering how it's possible that there are so many musicians and writers and film makers and artists from a tiny nation like Iceland.

And the answer is really simple: State funding for art education and artists. I literally get a salary from the government to write books.
I’m constantly astounded at the sheer level of artistic production coming out of Iceland. Novels, movies, music. Amazing.

The MN GOP is proposing a law making "residential protest" a crime, and they want to backdate it to August 2025. This would effectively make thousands of Minnesotans vulnerable to criminal charges, and would probably let Feds say Renee Good and Alex Pretti were engaged in "criminal activity."
