Just a bit misleading on that headline, Pioneer Press? Read the deck: sounds pretty consistent, rather than a turnabout.

Chantilly snapdragons, still blooming past a couple of low 20s F nights in Saint Paul Mn. #FlowerReport

Some fall color in Saint Paul as the cold descended Saturday. Japanese maple, meadow rue, and probably a Euonymus (burning bush) at a neighbor’s. #FlowerReport

From a St Paul Dept of Safety and Inspections email: construction permit for a new $11m CBP building construction permit at 670 Bayfield Street next to the downtown StP airport. Note location right near the runways. "Great" place to deport from! @mollycoleman.bsky.social @melvincarter.bsky.social

Week 22 in Prospect Park, Minneapolis. Over I-94.

Fall closes in here in Saint Paul. A few final borage flowers against fresh asparagus foliage; one last brave Jackmanii clematis blossom; and seed heads and fall color on heart-leaved aster (Symphiotrichum cordifolium). #FlowerReport

Star Tribune manages to put East Coast wins not known until after 8 pm in front page. But couldn’t get the giant No Kings event - held I the afternoon - in its own back yard on the front page because of printing deadlines?

How the RCV votes transferred to Her and Carter. She ended up w a bit under 48% of the votes, he just under 45%. Almost 5,000 ballots that ranked neither one.

NBC News poll from 6-10 days after the No Kings events.

At this point, I don’t even know what to say about the Star Tribune’s headlines. This isn’t even labeled news analysis.

I know it’s not much, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen the native blue violets rebloom in fall in Minnesota. #ClimateChange #FlowerReport

The last three dahlias.

Four more dahlias.

More Prospect Park (Minneapolis) dahlias from Dahlia Del, this time right on Franklin Ave. It’s beyond the end of the usual season, but there are still some beauties! #FlowerReport

Cosmos still going in Minnesota, October 26. #FlowerReport

There aren’t enough people at the St Paul Farmers Market this morning for all the beautiful produce! Brussels sprouts too! Onions for your winter supply. (I was obsessed with the peppers.)

Imagine wanting to look like this (especially the completely voluntary haircut).

Thimble cactus (Mammilaria gracilis) that I've been over-wintering for years... blooming for the first time. #FlowerReport

Kii garlic (Allium kiiense) just coming into bloom. Native to Honshu, it’s only 6-8” tall. #FlowerReport

Last day for free herbs outside the St Anthony Park library in St Paul! Today with potted rosemary plants too.

Another image of #NoKings downtown Minneapolis some time before the march left. There were more people constantly coming from the bottom left corner, where the light rail trains arrived. The park is 2 city blocks. That's two blocks of a street on the right, people standing still.

Begonia fuchsioides ‘Pink’… it bloomed sporadically all summer, but best right now - just as it has to come in for the winter. #FlowerReport
