Another Minnesotan is dead at the hands of federal agents. This has to end.

I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening.

The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.

Today's front page.

This is really the legacy Donald Trump and Republican lawmakers want for themselves?

ICE agents are trampling on the civil and constitutional rights of Minnesotans every day. Enough is enough.

DFL Rep. Jamie Long just announced that he’s authoring legislation that would establish a right for Minnesotans to sue federal officers for constitutional rights violations.

Nasra Ahmed, a 23-year-old US citizen, was arrested and detained by ICE. She was held for TWO DAYS.

ICE agents handcuffed her, called her a racial slur, and she was knocked to the ground so hard she got a concussion.

This cannot continue happening. ICE needs to leave.

How can our GOP colleagues look at this photo and continue to pretend like everything is fine?

We need them to think for themselves and call out this crisis for what it is: a blatant violation of civil and constitutional rights by federal agents.

🚨NEW: A large group of DFL legislators just declared their support for this Friday's general strike and 'ICE Out of Minnesota' Day.

DFLers are standing with Minnesotans, this Friday and always.

Solidarity with workers.✊ ICE OUT NOW!

ICYMI: Yesterday, Dan Bovino said that "everything we [ICE] do is legal, ethical, and moral."

So we decided to fact-check that claim, and as you might guess, it's complete clownery:

ICE is the problem, not Minnesotans.

House DFL Leader Zack Stephenson’s statement on Trump’s threat to invoke the Insurrection Act:

Let's be clear: ICE is not just causing chaos in Minnesota's metro area. From Fergus Falls to Rochester to Mankato, ICE is terrorizing communities all across the state.

Our whole state will be safer and better off once ICE gets out.

Last night, ICE agents in Minneapolis shot an individual in the leg — just one week after the killing of Renee Good.

ICE must leave Minnesota.

Posted exactly one month ago.

It was true then and it's true now: ICE is making Minnesota less safe. They need to get out of our state.
Donald Trump has brought his lawlessness to Minnesota, sending ICE agents here to divide and terrorize our communities.

But House DFLers will always stand with our neighbors.

We are Minnesotans. And Minnesotans have each other’s backs.

WATCH: Jon Stewart calls out the hypocrisy in how Republicans treated January 6th, 2021 (when violent protesters killed law enforcement officers) versus January 7th, 2026 (when violent ICE officers killed a peaceful community member in Minneapolis).

🚨BREAKING: @ag.state.mn.us just announced that the state (along with the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul) is suing the Department of Homeland Security to end Operation Metro Surge and get ICE out of Minnesota.

Tomorrow we observe a Day of Unity in honor of Renee Good, who was killed by ICE.

10AM - STATEWIDE MOMENT OF SILENCE

4-5:30PM - VIGIL OF ACTION AND MOURNING, MN Capitol

In the face of such extreme violence, Minnesotans stand up for our neighbors. We will seek accountability and justice.

Governor Walz is right: ICE has no place in our schools.

Yesterday, ICE sent armed officers to a high school during dismissal, broke car windows, tackled people, used chemical weapons, and handcuffed staff.

It has to stop.
January 8, 2026 at 6:19 PM
🚨WOW: The federal government is blocking MN law enforcement from investigating the killing of Renee Good by an ICE officer.

But make no mistake: We will not allow the administration to sideline us from seeing justice done.

Minnesotans deserve a thorough, independent investigation they can trust.

ICE has been terrorizing our communities for weeks, and it's resulted in a federal agent shooting and killing a civilian.

What happened in Minneapolis this morning was inexcusable, infuriating, and heartbreaking.

House DFL Leader Stephenson's statement on today's tragedy:
January 7, 2026 at 7:30 PM
When Washington won't lead, Minnesota will.

Thanks to our state's new Paid Family & Medical Leave Program that DFLers passed into law, workers will no longer have to choose between a paycheck from work and taking time to care for a newborn baby, a loved one, or themselves.
