Who knew that you could buy Star Trek inspired gnomes!
A gnome-sized Gorn - the intelligent reptile who fights Captain Kirk in the Star Trek TOS episode "Arena" - wields what looks like a fertilizer spike over the supine form of a more traditional bushy-bearded gnome who happens to be wearing a version of Kirk's trademark yellow uniform (complete with Starfleet badge and captain's sleeve braiding) complete with a matching yellow gnomish pointy cap. The rock base both figures are mounted on bears the inscription: I SHALL BE MERCIFUL AND QUICK -GORN

Why is tech costing so much more these days? I'm glad you asked.
To spell this out clearly, the reason RAM has quadrupled in price is that a huge quantity of RAM that hasn't been produced yet has been bought with money that doesn't exist to populate GPUs that also haven't been produced to go in datacenters that haven't been built powered by infrastructure that may never exist to meet a demand that doesn't exist at all to make profit margins that mathematically can't exist while economists talk about this thing they call the "rational markets hypothesis". https://mastodon.social/@mhoye/115742732861618099

New issue with #macOS #Tahoe 26.2: UpdateBrain doesn't check for sufficient free space before performing the update/upgrade; if there isn't enough, you get a "corrupt firmware file" error and the machine is now bricked, neither DFU Revive nor DFU Restore works, giving a "libusbrestore error:21".
