It's extremely difficult to tell, but it appears that the location of the Rubaya mine collapse and landslide is 1.56728° S, 28.88571° E as seen in thiese @planet.com satellite images (landslide moves S to N). The entire region is pockmarked with mines, including on slopes (like this one was). 🧪⚒️

Two brothers of longtime Coloradan Renee Good told Congress they took some consolation in the hope that her killing would bring reforms to ICE, but it has not.

There are clear examples of antisemitism running rampant in the US, Anglosphere more broadly, etcetera but it is very unfortunate that a sizable portion of what constitutes the anti-antisemitism institutional establishment is instead focusing on paranoid hyperactive suppression of pro-Pali speech.

It should inspire serious reflection among liberals and institutionally liberal institutions in the US that this woman was (is still?) considered a standard-bearer on the issue of what constitutes bigotry.

Intimidation is an age old tactic to qualm public dissent and outrage.

This Administration is going after public figures to encourage the American people to self-censor.

But we will not be silenced, and we will not accept this violation of our First Amendment Rights.

Wanted to add something: to me, this kind of emotional action is not shallow or weak. It’s effective activism bc it speaks to *anybody* who sees the video—it encourages bystanders who aren’t ICE agents to imagine themselves as part of the chorus, sharing those values, swaying others

To the extent there was a "deep state"--a stationary class of bureaucrats enabling the continuous exertion of state power regardless of political agendas/administrations--- the role of Palantir is to make it even more automatic, nontransparent, unaccountable, unauditable, and less human than before.

The “rules” that local police follow haven’t stopped them from executing Black and Brown folks.

Why the fuck would it stop ICE?
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.
