Now THIS is how you write a short story
When I was 23, I saw a bunch of really cute velvet furniture on the side of the road, totally nice. Took it in and a year later a friend’s new gf came to my house and it turns out I’d stolen her entire living room while she was moving.

Is there a political story in this province that doesn’t involve this guy?!
NEW: A podcaster accused of harassing a former AHS director said he was hired by an Edmonton lawyer, court docs show. That lawyer has ties to Sam Mraiche, who owns companies at the centre of Alberta's procurement controversy.

I like it here on Bluesky, but it still has this toxic habit that is everywhere else on social media: This obsessive need people have to hold others to account for having contrary opinions or analysis.

You're not responsible for other people's opinions, and you can't shame them into changing them.

This is so important, and don’t forget that major land use change and deforestation occurred across Europe, Asia, and Africa long before even 1750.
Published today: Importance of beginning industrial-era climate simulations in the eighteenth century

Defining pre-industrial to be 1750, rather than 1850, produces different (simulated) historical climate changes after 1850. Pre-1850 volcanoes & land use matter.

There's nothing to approve. Not even a line on a map.

Folks, this is not a drill. We did it not so long ago and we can do it again. Set up a bucket in the shower for your plants. It’s it’s yellow, let it mellow. Etc. #Calgary #watermainbreak
WATER USAGE - UNSUSTAINABLE

Calgary saw another day of water usage in the red zone. We must reduce our water consumption so emergency response services aren't compromised.

This impacts all of us, across every ward. Let's put our community spirit to work and get back to green 1/ #yyc #yyccc
