Thune betrayed Trump by negotiating & refusing to nuke the filibuster as he’s been asked (which could’ve been done to end the shutdown any time). Assuming Johnson passes this, we’ll see if Thune’s worth anything or if we’re back here in February without forced starvation as a GOP bargaining tactic.
