The blatant selling of pardons is perhaps the clearest instance of criminal conduct authorized by SCOTUS. Pardons are a quintessential "official act." So, even when Trump takes a bribe to issue one, he is presumably above the criminal law.
The president’s own chief of staff was reportedly stunned by his pardon of a former Honduran president.

It's actually worse. The Supreme Court has held 9-0 -- Clarence Thomas and other executive power fanatics included -- that detainees rendered to another country via the Alien Enemies Act are entitled to a pre-deportation hearing. There is no legal debate whatsoever.

And yet if you surveyed the general public, you'd find that most people think the country is more dangerous than ever.
I count 10 cities in 2025 that are on track to have the fewest murders since at least 1970. Newark is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1956 (though only have data through Oct this year) and San Francisco is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1942.

When Google search launched, people didn’t need to be berated into it. There was no “you better figure out some way to use this.” People just tried it, quickly saw it directed them to information they sought and helped them navigate the internet, and kept going back to use it more. Just sayin’.

The faction of the the left that lives for harassment is just slamming Matt for this, but he’s correct and this has been considered for years a major cause of the recent homelessness spike. Watching people maliciously misread his very short tweet and call him a “Nazi” is something else.
Homelessness increased primarily because of immigration (lots of people came to the US without setting up housing).

Yes, it’s entirely true that many of the migrants who came under the Biden admin did not have housing arranged for them when they arrived and so ended up in homeless shelters at first, at times for months, while they got on their feet. Stein: What is typical after a storm like this is that the federal government provides about 50, 60, even 70 percent of the damages in relief dollars to help a region recover from a massive hit. So far, North Carolina has received about 11 percent.
