I feel like the world is lacking in prestigious 2 hour documentaries about the Costco bakery
since we're talking about pies- one of my favorite internet traditions is r/costco every year, without fail, featuring multiple top-of-page posts of people completely agog at the scale of the costco pumpkin pie display. it must feel like walking onto a sherman tank factory floor in 1944

Gender-affirming care saves lives
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.
Study In The Journal Of Pediatrics Finds Trans Youth Care Lowers Suicidality, Few Detransition
The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.

I think it's interesting that the House voted to a person (meaning, all the Republicans) voted for this.

People have already pointed it out but clear Johnson/Thune aren't on the same page. Maybe not even in the same universe.
Breaking: The House voted unanimously, 426-0, to strip a provision in the funding bill that allowed senators to sue the government for $500K if their phone data was searched without their knowledge.

The provision was designed for GOP senators to sue over the Jack Smith investigation.

I know it's a tad early but I know those bitches with the buckets will be out soon. Don't gove them a penny. The volunteers may not know but the salvation army is no ally and actively combative and harmful to many queer minorities especially during the holiday season

the cheapness of rent, the ability to support yrself and yr ambitions, or to go to school, on a single low wage job

the sustainability of life that we haven't had in generations
there were periods where you could have a part time service job that covered college classes and rent! so often i'd read about artists in the 60s and 70s who also paid for studio spaces they could stock with supplies, who had the leisure time to party and create their great works. robbed, i tell ya!
