I've been on Twitter since 2007, but am here now as my permanent home after that place descended into hell.

One of those magical clips that somehow gets funnier on each successive viewing.

The doofus riding on top; the "important" guy walking alongside the tank; the half-empty grandstands; the wheels squeaking along on an otherwise silent street.

You might not like it, but this is ART.
Nations typically throw military parades to demonstrate their organizational prowess and national unity.

So…uh… message received.

I just remembered the amazing feeling of riding the A train uptown, drunk off my face, listening to my iPod coming home at 2am from the bars. New York City has always been a wonderful place to live.

This meeting could have been an email, a follow up meeting, a clarifying email, and then another meeting.

The New Yorker has an article an about the schism in Texas barbecue, and in the most New Yorker move ever has a writer who doesn’t even eat meat covering it.

In the alternative history book “The Guns of the South,” by @hntdove.bsky.social, racist South Africans travel through time to give support to the Confederacy so they win the Civil War, and that’s basically what I think has now happened to America.

I'm trying to get through my day without going insane and part of that is that I can't focus too much on the fact that Republicans have completely abandoned and sabotaged America and democracy in the interests of flexing raw power and it's just beyond maddening.

I haven't been a student for almost 25 years, but going into a therapy session with nothing to talk about triggers a feeling of not having done my homework. Which is really fucked up!

Luckily current events means that there's always something going on that's driving me insane.

These big strong men are terrified every moment they spend in the cities where blue haired soy boys live their entire adult lives.
People need to rock up to guys like this and go, "this is what an anxiety disorder feels like" because Jesus fucking Christ. I'm on meds for anxiety and I promise you, I do not walk around the city ready to be attacked because no one wants to attack you 99.9% of the time, weirdos.
“oh, you think conservative men are terrified of big cities? common mistake. we are actually all just self-taught jason bournes.”

When you're staring at the ceiling, unable to sleep and being tormented with random memories of dumb shit you've done in your life, are those memories more likely to be recent or of things you did back in grade school?

Trump demolishing the American Century by annexing the Sudentengreenland is way beyond all the craziest predictions anyone came up with back in 2016 when this shitshow started rolling down hill.

Has an American ruler EVER publicly proposed annexing Europe before?

John Fetterman’s a disgrace to the oaf community. He does not represent America’s lumbering buffoons, ham-fisted galoots, or men whose heavy footsteps are soundtracked by a tuba.

Just hit me why AOC is so good and brilliant at being the adult in the room with all the trashy losers making terrible choices around her. She used to be a bartender.

I've built a machine that can be Confidently Wrong. It can also make pictures that all look a bit the same, as well as make a video of you kissing any celebrity or person you know. In payment, I'd like to boil the world's oceans dry, & steal all literature. For some reason, my head is not on a spike

The most exciting thing about writing is when the writing you comes up with something great that you didn’t see coming until you wrote it, as if the Writing You knows something more than the Reading You.

here in Duckburg.
Corkscrew penis tentacle.
Where's the duck blur?
Comrades DO NOT google "duck dick"
idk I was always struck by the ecologically friendly nature of feeding unwanted dicks to ducks

Putting my adjunct-professor cap back on; I truly am struggling with how to grade Biden’s failure of a presidency. I don’t think I’d be able to grade it, it’s just like if a student forgot to withdraw because the student was senile

Someone in the Discord for my newsletter described the Academy's fervent support for Emilia Perez as "A show of support for trans people, but delivered like a cat proudly dropping a half-dead mouse on your pillow," and that's more or less it.
