I think there's been a bit too much focus and pandering to these people now. 'legitimate concerns' 'silent majority' 'both sides' etc. Fuck 'em. Never known such a bunch of absolute fucking arseholes playing the victim and demanding everyone dances to their fucking tune. Fight fire with fire.

So much of the centrist approach to politics has devolved into "How do we trick people into supporting us like the right has done?" where talking sincerely about policies that might help ordinary people's lives is for naïve schmucks who don't understand the glorious theatre of it all

I see it's time for me to make the point again that the poppy is a fundraising campaign for the Royal British Legion, a specific, mundane entity that is not exempt from scrutiny and does not own the concept of remembrance.

This is how you fight the far right. You don't pander to them or try to mollify them. You look them square in the face and tell them "f*** you"

There’s no screening for ovarian cancer and it’s really difficult to spot: you can’t squidge your ovaries in the shower to check for lumps. Also it’s very good at masquerading at other things, like IBS and diverticulitis.
Please take a look at this list of symptoms - and share if you can.

The thing that’s so incoherent about this is that yes, of course the 7/7 bombers were British. They were British terrorists. Being a massive arsehole doesn’t stop you being British, which is good news for Matt Goodwin otherwise he might find himself stateless.
Goodwin says "it takes more than a piece of paper" or birthplace to make somebody British.
This is not often applied to Fred West/Ian Huntley, Kim Philpy, etc
So how it is applied to British-born people from the majority + minority groups who commit crimes + who don't is rarely/never made clear

Hi Lisa Nandy! I’m a BAFTA winner from a small town. Instead of asinine questions like this, why not tell us how we can continue to make a living in the eviscerated creative sector over which you notionally preside?
