I think the most charming thing about Warhammer 40k is, at its heart, the lore feels like two five-year-olds constantly trying to one-up one another.

"MY guy is RAMBO and SHOOTS your guy!"
"Nuh-UH cuz my guy is made of DIAMONDS and EATS the bullet!"
"The bullet EXPLODES!"
"No cuz his tummy is ACID"

Okay, but she has to play by cookout rules. She can bring ice. She's not even up to paper plate duty, because she'd pick nasty, cheap plates, or styrofoam. Not even napkins. She spends a few years bringing ice and being properly socialized because her parents failed her mightily? We can talk tent.
Raskin: We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over.

If you have ADHD & you have a whirl-windy day where you magically get things done, I highly suggest doing a “reverse to-do list”.

Write down everything you did like it’s a to-do list you need to do, then give yourself the satisfaction of crossing it off!

Mine is 15 items long & I feel amazing.

bush v gore is the hinge upon which basically everything awful from the last quarter century swings on
i don't think that bush v. gore is the *worst* ruling in the history of the supreme court, but i do think it is the most openly *corrupt* ruling in its history. a real disgrace.

Recommendation: this rice. We get big bags of it at the Asian grocery nearby. It is incredibly good and easy to make.

N.B. I am not paid to promote this, either with money or rice. But I’d take either.

This has been Bill’s rice recommendation. Good night.

Johnson: What are you talking about? We’re soldiers with guns. It’s the civilians who should be worried.
Thompson: The “civilians” are an A-List actor and a blind psychic swordsman. We are so dead.
Johnson: I have a gun and body armor. That guy doesn’t even have a shirt.

Child marriage is heinous, but one thing I never see brought up in those discussions is that if you are under 18, you cannot file for divorce. If you are under 18 and married to an adult, they are your legal guardian and make decisions for you. That is not a partnership.
Most Minors Who Are Married Can't File for Divorce — Even if They Want To

The Founders were so concerned about bribery that the Constitution forbids it three separate times. Two emoluments clauses ban officials—unambiguously including the president—from accepting things of value, plus bribery is the only named impeachable offense besides treason.

Unprecedentedly corrupt.

The resurfacing of #metoo narratives-- and the stories from those of us whose careers suffered because we spoke out-- gives us hints about why Trump II went the way it has.

The people who would speak out spoke out during Trump I, and were sidelined.
