For no reason:
There was a time I was seeking higher-paying jobs in public service, media, etc. I had a lot of nibbles, and at Christmas 2023, was offered a government job.
I was overcome with panic as I considered taking it. It was what I wanted. I could "feel" more important, make a bit more.

I can’t with this weird “back of the head soul patch.”
Is this so he can claim he’s not bald? I’ve just never seen a man shave his head and leave a weird small patch like this.

Aww. When Eugene Levy fulfills his dream of going to the big formal dancing ball in Vienna, Austria, when he’s talking to the “teens” dancing in the debutante ball, he includes a gay male couple.
I suspect that’s a nod of inclusion for his son but I love it. (In the Reluctant Traveller.)

Bluesky suspended Sarah Kendzior today for no reason whatsoever. She just shared excerpts of her articles, which were as always incisive and not offensive at all. Hey @pfrazee.com this is super not OK. I know her- we've interacted a fair bit via chats and her work is essential.

Pluribus, somewhat surprisingly, is in large part about the push for AI everything.
But it's also about the limits of utilitarianism, and about consent, and about what makes us people.
Two episodes in, and I'm really hoping they can keep this up.

For the public service itself to profit off gutting the public service is some real dark shit.

Your moment of Zen.
It was STELLAR.
Warm, sunny.
I had a busy morning. But wanted to hydrate, eat badly, and recharge my phone before taking a walk.
Now: Cloudy, windy, cold.
It looks like the clouds may blow off — but the wind will stay. Alas.
Oh well. Give it 30 minutes to blow off. Maybe! /darestodream

Esquimalt had a bad rap when I moved to Victoria.
But I’ve recently taken advantage of social supports provided in Esquimalt & I’m learning how great the community actually is.
So much so I’d consider moving there, next time I change homes.

It’s been increasingly true for years.

Watching Eugene Levy at a health spa in Germany.
It’s pretty hilarious that you’d pay MORE to go to a spa and then… fast.
Restaurants could make bank on this — tell you they’re saving your life then only feed you broths they make for a fraction of the cost of a meal.

It’s hilarious because most of the world’s modern obesity problem can be attributed to the proliferation of American junk food.
So, is this defined by regular English pounds, or by the jumbo-sized ones Dear Leader uses to report his health.?
