I can’t with this weird “back of the head soul patch.”
Is this so he can claim he’s not bald? I’ve just never seen a man shave his head and leave a weird small patch like this.

And here is a double shot for ya — some cool driftwood logs (most of these are 15-20 feet — 4-6m) and the sunset such as it was for our semi-dreary afternoon.

This is Albanian food and a spread like this was about $10US in 2017 — and that includes the 2 glasses of wine.
Albanian food is like Greek, Turkey, and Italian all combined.

It got much colder but remained a nice autumn day. I took a leaf-appreciation walk that led to the sea and the sunset. Well-spent afternoon.

Esquimalt had a bad rap when I moved to Victoria.
But I’ve recently taken advantage of social supports provided in Esquimalt & I’m learning how great the community actually is.
So much so I’d consider moving there, next time I change homes.
Today, I received a free lap blanket someone made. :)

I thought Fresno chilies had more spice, so instead of using it in my guacamole, i sauteed the chilies then cooked my eggs in them.
Some basic guac, a gluten-free (sad) bagel, and a Denver steak kept simple with salt & pepper.

Omigod, there are two seasons of The Reluctant Traveller I have not yet seen.
Because, if you note, on Apple, and even the show’s title card, THEY SPELL IT THE CANADIAN WAY (also know as the CORRECT way).
[looking at you, IMDB]
Eugene Levy has maple syrup in his veins.

We learned about mushrooms today and I retained zero facts and have no idea what she is picking up here, but I spent a long time going OOH SHINY about everything. Occasionally SQUIRREL!

Episode 3 in The Studio has imagery that evokes Coen Bros’ for me, esp. Hudsucker Proxy, which I think sorta raised the bar for their work because of the incredible mid-century/Art Deco sets.
These shots evoke it for me. Feels like a nod to A Simple Man too. Real movie nerd shit in this series.

I went from “meh I dunno what to eat” to eating all the things and now I am way full.
I caramelized a little Serrano chili and onion before scrambling some eggs in and adding black beans at the end — one of my favourite ways to eat eggs.
Hashbrowns with garlic & rosemary, toast, bacon.

One way to save $ on breakfasts if you like hashbrowns is to make em from potatoes.
If you can get a 10lb bag of spuds for $5, often doable this time of year, you can turn half into hashbrowns to freeze—
Peel. Cube them. Parboil in boiling water maybe 3-4 minutes. Strain. Cool. 🍜🍽️

The sexy hot photo of Fuentes was another thing that pissed me off. Making a Nazi sexy when most photos make him look like the incel he is, that’s dangerous.

I have chips and wanted guacamole and I have no cilantro left.
So I added my leftover chimichurri, another Serrano chili, some onion, lime, and I’m pretty happy, actually!

I opened this link to find that the ad source they're using for targeted advertising is sharing content from a far-right-wing/conspiracy-addled publication in Canada.
So, yeah, won't be subscribing to Boing-Boing. And I wrote them to explain why.
