as others have noted there's a connection between these deaths and right wing "Antifa" paranoia. musk designed and advertised this thing as apocalypse proof which in his smooth brain meant "able to protect riders from dangerous hordes of poor rioters". this also makes rescuing passengers impossible
What an absolute nightmare. A high school student saw his friends crash their Cybertruck and rushed to help, but was only able to rescue one of them because the car's doors would not open from the outside.

Very much like the Iraq War, somehow "I thought Elon Musk was a genius until a couple years ago" is now considered the more respectable and serious opinion than "I knew he was a fraud for a decade and was never fooled by him."

I don’t disagree and am not letting Dems off the hook but in terms of what was predictable, it didn’t take long for a (prior incarnation) Democratic Party to take back power after literally doing a civil war that appalled an already barbaric international community for its scale and sheer brutality
After Bush, Republicans should have been shut out of government for a generation and it's an outrageous repeated bag fumble by the Dems that the GOP is even electorally viable let alone frequently in power

When Musk talks about “democracy,” he really means “freedom,” and by freedom he means his ability to do as he please - which he thinks is in line with “the will of the people” because he sees his interests as identical with those of humanity itself as he is “chosen” to take us into a better future.
Elon’s very dumb argument that bureaucracy is at odds with democracy is rooted in his delusion that he acting on behalf of the people. The people strongly disagree.
