this is viscerally gross, but there's a silver lining: at some point, an extremely dumb chomo is going to try using this line of argument in court, and they're going to learn the hard way that you can't just piss on a judge's head and tell them it's raining the way you can with an access journalist.

In the past, getting rid of the penny was halted in part because lobbyists for zinc producers put the kibosh on it. Now, with Trump just decreeing its end, why aren't the zinc producer(s) suing? I really don't care about this -- I want the penny gone too -- but were they bought off or something?
