The modern NFL has been dominated by passing offenses. But, the last two Super Bowl winners had great run games and great defenses. I wonder if we'll see more of that orientation given what a copycat league the NFL is.

relatedly, this is why the right's hatred of the humanities is reflected in their cultural arts—namely, that there is no similar capacity to engage with subtlety, nuance, and meaning in their performance
Next time somebody tries to get me to justify the existence of the humanities, I’ll just point out how for the past two Super Bowls we’ve all jumped online and engaged in collective semiotics and hermeneutics of the half-time show as text.
