He’ll be addressing a group funded by Viktor Orbán’s autocratic regime, which has seized control of the country’s media, judiciary, and routinely harasses its critics

A child poverty strategy with the 2-child limit in place would *not* be a credible child poverty strategy. *All* of the growth in child poverty since the 2011/12 low point is for children in scope of this policy.

I don’t think Danny Kruger is being taken seriously enough - this is far more extreme than anything the Conservatives were allowed to get away with. He is effectively saying that being anti-racist and being trans are contrary to British national identity and his party is leading the polls.
Reform are so dangerous and this headline doesn’t do it justice. I also think a piece like this should start with the politician‘s core views just to emphasise the urgency.

It does make me smile that no one involved in tech is actually working class or has ever been involved in a (non-commercial/film) fight or even witnessed one.

Don’t let them say it was a different time. Don’t let them say they didn’t know. We know.

Oh here we go. I'm old enough to remember the last "femicide" attempt by forced-birthers back in...I'm going to say 2014?

This is US anti-womens' healthcare playbook. We defeated them before and we are very ready to defeat them again.

This was ALWAYS where GCs were headed.
Good people of Bluesky, I know you will be as shocked, confused and discombobulated as I am to see a “gender critical” parroting religious right, anti-abortion talking points. I am shooketh I tell you!
WHY DID NOBODY WARN US?

Narrator: trans people & allies have been warning us for years…

That American politics went off the rails after Barack Obama and British ethnonationalism has reared its head after Rishi Sunak is the real tell about how committed some people are to integration and post racial politics.
A country where Sadiq Khan can lead London, Humza Yousaf can lead Scotland, and Rishi Sunak can lead Britain is a country where the racists had *lost*. So much of this vicious bile has come directly after that and almost no one seems to draw the connection

I'm so fucking tired of this shit. They are constantly looking for a new "Winterval". It doesn't matter one jot that Christmas is the biggest festival in this country which drives the entire fucking economy.
Let’s have a look at a crazy Twitter to newspaper pipeline story and debunk as we go! 🔎👍🏼

Pensions account for 55 per cent of British social security spending, a hefty chunk of NHS spending is also on elderly people, and so is a big chunk of local council social care budgets. There is no way around this! So you either need HUGE birth rates or you need immigration of working-age people.

Governments and voters are both reacting to algorithm-shaped “public opinion,” not grounded priorities. Immigration feels urgent because platforms amplify fear, pulling parties into hollow performances of toughness. The far right reads that drift as confirmation it’s winning.

Please imagine a migrant group doing this in England and the media response. Then let's look at the very real problem there is with English Nationalism.
Just some British patriots in Benidorm, taking over a street in Spain to shout in their own language about unwanted foreigners. It’s a blessing that they are too thick to understand irony.

Do all men in academia need to hear this? OK, I'll say it. Young women find you repulsive. If they do fuck you, it's for a really upsetting mix of reasons which I don't have the time or energy to go into. Just accept that they are not there for you to fuck, and leave them the fuck alone.

Can't top this comment, just exactly this 👇
It would be one thing having a "debate" on immigration if people meant they wanted a "debate" based on facts. But what most people seem to mean when they say they want a debate is that is they want us to pretend a bunch of entirely made up bullshit is true.

Think for one second how many children are born to refugees during a 20 year period. British kids born, gone to nursery, primary, secondary, college university, working, maybe multiple jobs, paying taxes, getting married, making friends, setting down roots.

Despicable and inhumane.
