I'm gonna keep reposting examples of people not taking shit because it's important for us to see that you can, simply, reject the shit. Say "Uh... no no no, we will not be tolerating that."
My kid lives in Siddall Hall and sent me these yesterday. First is what was put up by the school, second is the students’ alteration of the administrations’ cowardice.

1. "Intellectually and Morally indefensible," that is what a Judge called a Montana law defining sex and ending legal recognition of transgender people today.

That law is now struck down as facially unconstitutional.

As it's both #LGBTHistoryMonth (UK) & #BlackHistoryMonth (US) there's double cause to celebrate Stormé DeLarverie, the butch dyke who may well have started the Stonewall uprising.
Storme didn’t acquiesce to police arrest but fought back, reputedly crying out, "Why don't you guys do something?"

This should be exceedingly obvious, but when Stonewall stays up while references to trans people come down, they will measure the silence of cisgender people as concurrence for whatever they plan next, and it still won't protect you in the end. So please get loud. Our mutual survival depends on it.

Found out that TWENTY emails is considered a lot to politicians on an issue.

TWENTY.

As in, they call that getting slammed.

So next time you see a request to email your rep, or call, keep that in mind.

TWENTY is a lot.

🖋️ “Vote NO on the SAVE Act!” hit 500 signers!
Vote NO on the SAVE Act!
I am writing to express my strong opposition to H.R. 22, the so-called “Safeguard American Voter Eligibility” (SAVE) Act. While this bill is framed as a measure to combat voter fraud, it is, in reality, a voter suppression effort that creates unnecessary barriers to voting and disenfranchises millions of Americans. The SAVE Act would require voters to present narrow forms of “documentary proof of citizenship,” such as a passport or birth certificate, to participate in federal elections. This would disproportionately harm: - Up to 150 million Americans who do not have a passport. - Approximately 69 million women citizens who do not have a birth certificate with their current legal name on it. - Elderly Americans, who are the least likely to hold passports. Additionally, in 7 states, less than one-third of citizens have a valid passport – Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and West Virginia. The SAVE Act is a solution in search of a problem. Worse, it would erode the fundamental right to vote, silencing the voices of vulnerable communities under the guise of election security. Rather than advancing harmful legislation like the SAVE Act, Congress should focus on protecting and expanding voting rights by supporting measures such as the Freedom to Vote Act and the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. One of the foundational values of our democracy is the idea that every person is entitled to a vote – a say in the direction of our nation. I urge you and your colleagues to work towards that founding ideal. Thanks.

Every activism movement in history has made space for humor, music, art, gratitude, and beauty. It centers you and reminds you what you’re fighting for. Being relentlessly miserable is just a recipe for burnout and giving up.
I know our country is on fire. I know Trump is bad and is doing very bad things, and I often address those things with posts and reposts. But if I post a joke about my kid or my dog or a pleasant experience at a diner, don’t scold me for not exclusively talking politics 24/7. Please just ignore me.

🖋️ “STOP THE COUP. Impeach. NO to all current nominees incl Patel” hit 100 signers!
STOP THE COUP. Impeach. NO to all current nominees incl Patel
Monday morning code red: Elon Musk and a small squad of twenty something year olds with no security clearance are now in US treasury computer systems, have access to sensitive data, and Musk is tweeting about him being about to stop payments to federal contractors. This is ILLEGAL, UNCONSTITUTIONAL and amounts to a COUP. You swore to support and defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. DO THAT NOW. No business as usual. No nominees. Let's consider the situation, consider its full gravity: Here's how Robert Hubbel describes it: "Over the weekend, Musk posted on Twitter that his DOGE team was “rapidly shutting down payments to federal contractors.” Bloomberg reporte: Musk Says DOGE Is Halting Treasury Payments to US Contractors." Musk wrote on Twitter that “The corruption and waste are being rooted out in real-time,” saying that DOGE is “rapidly shutting down” payments to a Lutheran charity. (See Bloomberg article, above.) To be clear, Musk has no authority to decide that congressionally appropriated funds constitute “corruption and waste.” If corruption and waste exist, there is an entire federal system designed to identify, stop, and punish those involved. But simply unilaterally declaring that appropriations will be canceled on the whim of one person who is not involved in the appropriations process is the very definition of a coup. "The fact that Musk retweeted information that appeared to be from the US Treasury payments system is deeply troubling. If that information was obtained by illegally downloading protected information from government servers, multiple felonies were committed as part of a conspiracy against the United States." History is banging on your door. It's up to members of Congress to defend the constitution now. What are YOU and YOUR Colleagues going to do? Will you let the constitutionally enshrined powers of Congress be destroyed in plain sight by Elon Musk? See how badly it turned out when you confirmed Bessent? Don't confirm these wrecking-agency- destroying -Trump- partisan-shady nominees: NO to RFK Jr, NO to Kash Patel, NO to Vought, NO to Bondi, NO to Tulsi Gabbard. A coup is happening before our eyes. Do your job or be remembered in history for disgracing your oath and allowing our laws and democracy to be upended and torn apart on your watch. If you're in the GOP understand that Trump is losing special elections in Trump districts and people are googling impeachment across the nation. If you're a house member, start impeachment charges now. If in the senate, discuss impeachment. The felon potus is breaking the law and constitution he swore to preserve protect and defend. Stop this coup
