Notable that basically everyone is NIMBY about these, even jerks like Fetterman, who opposes the one planned for Tremont, Pennsylvania. ICE concentration camps pay no taxes while also making huge demands on local infrastructure, everything from water to sewage to power to hospitals.
ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps.

The 14th Amendment guarantees equality of citizenship to "all persons born or naturalized in the United States." Since you can't strip citizenship from a natural born citizen, it's unconstitutional to strip citizenship from a naturalized citizen. The Seditious 6 on SCOTUS disagree but fuck them too
Democrats should promise, today, that Melania Trump, Elon Musk and Peter Thiel will be stripped of citizenship and deported if the administration advances this effort

this is one of those cases where I think no, even rhetorically, you don’t go there. you draw a bright red line and when someone talks about denaturalization you laugh in their face and say “what are you taking about, we don’t do that in America” instead of dunking on their side’s immigrants

It's real simple. Pass a law that says "in immigration cases, a habeas petition may be brought in the district of arrest of brought within 3 months of the initial arrest"

So it’s a race: how quickly can a person’s family realize they were snatched and find a lawyer, and how quickly can that lawyer get a habeas petition of file? And is that faster than ICE can load the detainee on a plane to Texas?
