"How could Dems cave like this after last Tuesday's victory?" But it wasn't a victory for Schumer. His candidate -- the Trump-supported one -- lost. The jubilation and hope folks feel about Mamdani? Chuck feels the opposite. To sum up: he sucks.

Thinking about Dick Durbin and Chuck Schumer being part of "The Gang of Eight" that were going to "solve" immigration. Now Chuck and Dick fund the secret police that's kidnapping my neighbors while letting thousands die from lack of healthcare. They have always been frauds.

Normal Person: Wow, the elections last week show the Republican agenda is deeply unpopular and Democrats have permission to fight hard for their ideals and policies.

Democratic Senator: Our strategy of doing nothing and letting Republicans hurt people is working! We're being rewarded at the polls!

The Rehearsal Season 2

Pluribus Ep 1 was kind of predictable the moment the rat became a character. Extremely well done, but as Carol says in Ep. 2, "I've seen this movie."

Ep 2 was beyond excellent. And funny! Top tier writing and storytelling.

OVER A MILLION USERS

DISCUSS SUICIDE WITH CHATGPT

EVERY *WEEK*

what the fuck are we DOING here
Panera’s moderately caffeinated lemonade was loosely associated with 2 deaths before it was taken off market.

This article alone has 4 examples of ChatGPT encouraging young people to commit suicide, and OpenAI’s own public stats estimate over a million users discuss suicide with ChatGPT each week.
I fully believe in the corporate death penalty and believe we would be a better world if OpenAI lost its corporate charter and was forcibly dissolved.

Read this thread. This is what @katmabu.bsky.social was protesting, and why she repeatedly says getting beaten up by ICE outside is nothing compared to the torture and crimes being committed inside Broadview. These thugs must be held to account.
A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

to maximize gains you have to turn dark red republican districts in to red ones and red ones into light red ones. in a very bad national environment for Rs, this could bring a total wipeout. this is why i specified incumbents.
...the Republicans who were engaging in partisan redistricting because they were afraid of being punished by voters for Trump's policies will stop redistricting because they're now even more afraid of being punished by voters?

I feel like I'm missing steps here.

Tonight is many things, but it is among other things, vindication for Lindsey, for being brave and speaking up about Cuomo's abuse towards her and other women.
I’m very superstitious of election night, but not today.

Cheney was the key architect of the Unitary Executive during Ford, Reagan, HW, and obviously during W Bush with the invasion of Iraq. He made the Presidency unaccountable to Congress. Trump's entire second term is only possible because of his life's work. He will burn in hell until forgotten.

The dream of every Muslim is simply to be treated the same as any other New Yorker.

And yet, for too long, we have been told to ask for less than that, and endure hatred and bigotry in the shadows.

No more.

Cheaper rent was also a HUGE factor

It used to be a group of people with limited budgets could all afford to live and work together on a project in the same city, with proximity to audience/resources/other groups, and ability to rent suitable spaces for their projects. This is a huge hurdle now.
