The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

It appears that some people on here are becoming aware of the North Shore's greatest export* and I would like to offer this explainer to them.

*not really an export, rarely leaves the region
I had the BEST time with the Curiosity Desk team at GBH scouring the North Shore for its greatest roast beef sandwiches. I hope I did the true beefers proud!!! 🫡

Allow me to translate. October data was not collected as field staff were all furloughed. In some cases, that data can be recovered from businesses. In other cases, the window to collect the data has closed (consumer prices, labor force status) and the data hole may be permanent.

I’m not generally in the business of giving Republicans sound political advice, but…I mean…yeah? Definitely?
If Republicans were to impeach and remove Donald Trump today, they would likely be able to move past the Epstein stuff within a week, they'd have Republican President who would experience massive economic growth just from undoing the tarrifs, and likely hold both Houses in the midterms.

In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

i think this is key. taking the deal would amount to taking the blame. it would turn a clear political victory into an unambiguous defeat.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

Fox gives Trump a platform during their NFL broadcast to peddle his absurd lies about "prices are coming way down", "we inherited a mess," and "our country has over $17 trillion being invested in it." Absolutely shameful for all involved.

It would have been “get your fucking soldiers out of our cities.”
