So I was curious about Mamdani’s exhortation to Trump, “Turn the volume up!” Which would have been an oddly cheap shot for Mamdani at Trump’s age; but apparently it’s a KRS-One reference -the next line is “the devil’s time is up.”

I put it out there that if you or someone you know is suffering from long covid, i'm available to chat.

These chats are hard. people need solutions and there is no magic bullet; they're also hard because people are so desperate to hear somebody acknowledge and understand what they're going through.

Python foundation said no and rejected the grant.

long overdue in this city!
Next year, we'll welcome 125,000 new New Yorkers to our city. But many families don't have what they need to give their babies a healthy start.

Building on @bkbpreynoso.bsky.social's pilot, we'll launch citywide Baby Baskets, providing new parents with essential items and resources.

Good evening. We estimate that between 4.2 and 7.6 million people turned out for the No Kings Day demonstrations held around the country on Saturday. This makes Oct 18 very likely the biggest single-day U.S. protest event since 1970. www.gelliottmorris.com/p/second-no-...

I get that some people are worried about transit crime.

The right response isn't to reallocate agencies' (already stretched) budgets toward public safety. It's to help the public understand that there is nothing to fear -- and to loudly condemn those like USDOT Sec Duffy who are spreading lies.
We Need a Reality Check on Crime, Safety and Transit
Despite common assumptions, traveling by bus, subway or train is far safer than driving. How can transit agencies correct misinformation about the real risks?
