Hours after this story went out yesterday, workers outside Delaney Hall enclosed the open air waiting room, giving families a little more protection from the elements during the long wait outside the facility to see loved ones.

I spoke ppl visiting loved ones detained at Delaney Hall, now the largest ICE detention center in northeast, who often have to wait more than hour outside before they can enter.

In immigration court today DHS lawyers moved to toss peoples' asylum claims en masse, arguing they should seek asylum in countries they may have never set foot in instead.

NYC shelter staff violated city sanctuary laws at least three times earlier this year -- according to lawyers who reviewed incident reports I obtained.

Staff gave ICE and DHS info about a former resident and let them enter private spaces of shelters, reports show.
