Sorry Nick Moody running for ECan, but parking your billboard trailer in a bike lane pretty much rules you out as an environmental organisation candidate from my point of view...

Business reps are centred everyday in the news - their concern is profit not people. It’s time RNZ & others centred community orgs in exactly the same way for balance. We could hear from food banks; hsg advocates; Iwi, beneficiary advocates, renters, disability orgs to get a 360 on the economy.

The Green budget has great stuff in it and it frustrates me no end that they get treated like "tree-hugging weirdos" while National, who were told that their landlord tax cuts didn't add up before the election, get to throw women under the bus and still are somehow "safe hands" for the economy.

Honestly, this is probably good for the Greens in a number of ways. It certainly would be in a functioning democracy with balanced media.

So bloody infuriating and wearying.
It's disturbing that Hipkins could summon up so much outrage, complete with name calling and real hostility for Tamatha Paul, but not for the outrageous things Seymour, Peters and Jones have said or for the appalling policymaking of the coalition.
