I'm no academic, but this seems to be a very public way to torch your academic credibility. If you can't write, edit and peer review without using a technology based on theft and plagiarism, I wouldn't think you are a very good academic.

No, we don't have to accept hallucinatory, ecosidic creative stealing LLMs. The genie not only can be put back in the bottle, we need to do so. Accepting this as the state of affairs that we have to accept and going forward is an enormous mistake.
