When I was around 13, my Dad bought a pet snake. It had some sort of birth defect where it was missing one of its eyes. Cue me going around school obliviously bragging about "my Dad's one-eyed snake" not knowing why all the other kids and staff were laughing so hard.

I hate the "rounding up for charity" campaigns because I think it's the capitalists who own the supermarkets who should contribute, yet sometimes I want to support a good cause. So I round up at the self-checkout and steal an item of equivalent value.

The Riyadh Comedy Festival is so commercial now. Accommodation, flyering and PR costs are insane. And yet, if you want to be seen by producers, you have to go. And now, people like me, who’ve been doing it for years can’t sell tickets because big acts are turning up.
